Accessibility

SCT strives to create a theatre experience that is fully accessible to all of our patrons.  Please read below to learn about all of our accessibility accomodations.  If you have ideas or requests for how we can provide a more inclusive experience, please contact info@sct.org.

Patrons in a Wheelchair or who require Mobility Accomodations

Both theatres at SCT meet all the codes of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and are fully accessible to patrons in wheelchairs.  We are a general admission theatre, so advance notice of attendees requiring wheelchair seating is appreciated and will allow us to reserve seating for your group.  We are also happy to reserve seating for patrons who have limited mobility, are unable to climb stairs, or require seating on an aisle or near the exit.  Please contact the box office at 206.441.3322 or tickets@sct.org for these accommodations.

Patrons who are Deaf or have Hearing Loss

Both theatres at SCT are equipped with hearing loop technology.  We have headsets available for patrons without T-Coil equipped hearing devices, please see an usher upon arrival to obtain a headset.

SCT also has one ASL interpreted performance for each show in our mainstage season.  Click here for a list of ASL interpreted performance dates.

Patrons who are Blind or have Low Vision

New this 17-18 season we will offer audio described performances and touch tours for our patrons with visual impairment.  Click here for a list of audio described performance dates.
Contact Patron Services Manager, Sarahann Rickner at sarahannr@sct.org or 206.443.0807 x 1135 to schedule a touch tour of the set and props.

Patrons with Sensory Sensitivity

SCT offers one sensory friendly performance for each show in our 17-18 season.  These performances provide a more relaxing environment for children (and adults) who are easily overwhelmed by sensory stimulus.  To find out more about these performances, please visit our Sensory Friendly page.
